Engaging Allies: Preventing and Ending Domestic and Sexual Violence is an interactive workshop designed to engage students as allies and change leaders who can take action to prevent and end domestic and sexual violence on their campuses. During this session, students will learn about the prevalence and impact of domestic and sexual violence and identify risk factors, warning signs, and the root causes of these forms of harm. Participants will also be equipped with concrete tools and strategies to safely and effectively intervene and prevent domestic and sexual violence and ally to create safer spaces for survivors and their campus community. 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm EDT/GMT-4
Goals/Learning Objectives:
Understand the prevalence & impact of domestic & sexual violence
Identify risk factors, warning signs, & root causes of domestic & sexual violence
Learn concrete strategies to safely & effectively intervene & prevent domestic & sexual violence
