What We Do
Our counselors are highly experienced, licensed professionals, each of whom brings specific areas of expertise, experience and passion to our community. We welcome and work closely with students who identify as BIPOC and LGBTQ. We are members of and participate with several College Counseling organizations, including CCNY and AUCCCD, and are a founding member of the Hudson Valley College Counseling Forum. We also serve as a referral source for students to regional experts in areas such as psychological testing, eating disorder programs, addiction services, long term therapy and psychiatric services. Please contact us via email (email@example.com) or by phone (845-758-7433) should you want to speak with us about our services, or if you have an idea of something that you would like to see offered by our department. To meet with a counselor, see our Appointments page for all our options.
Bard Counseling Services continues to be available via teletherapy for enrolled Bard students. If you would like to meet with a counselor, please go to the Appointments page and submit a Counseling Request form, as well as a Phone and Video Informed Consent form. Once these confidential forms are submitted, a counselor will be in touch within two business days to set up a time to talk.
Please note: Due to regulations in some areas of the U.S. and abroad, we may not be able to provide ongoing counseling to students who are currently located outside New York State. We can discuss that with you when you submit your confidential request forms. If that is the case, we will offer you options and help connect you with local mental health resources in your area.
We wish you health and resilience as together we navigate the uncertain times ahead. We are here to support you and we look forward to hearing from you.

Counseling Services Groups, Workshops, and Talks
Spring Therapy Groups
Therapy groups are “closed groups” for eight to 12 students. Preregistration required. Once you have joined, the membership will remain the same. Trust and intimacy can be built. Usually our therapy groups run for eight consecutive weeks. We are offering ACT and DBT Therapy Groups.
Our workshops are open to all Bard students, wherever you are.
