What We Do

Our counselors are highly experienced, licensed professionals, each of whom brings specific areas of expertise, experience, and passion to our community. We welcome and work closely with students who identify as BIPOC and LGBTQ. We are members of and participate with several College Counseling organizations, including CCNY and AUCCCD, and are a founding member of the Hudson Valley College Counseling Forum. We also serve as a referral source for students to regional experts in areas such as psychological testing, eating disorder programs, addiction services, long-term therapy, and psychiatric services. Spring Therapy Groups

  • Grief Support Group 
    If you are struggling with the loss of a loved one - whether it is recent or in the past - the Grief Support Group is here for you. Connect with other students for support and understanding, and heal in a safe, caring community. Please contact Joshua Boettiger at [email protected] or Sherry Ou-yang at [email protected] if you are interested in participating or have any questions.
    The day and time of the group will depend on the availability of the interested students
  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) Group Therapy for Anxiety and Mood
    ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) for Anxiety and Moods. ACT teaches principles to help us stop fighting our feelings and engage more deeply with life. Group closed for the semester. 
  • Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Skills Group
    DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy). An 8 week series focused on learning new skills based on the principles of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.  Please join us this semester as we learn mindful communication skills to deepen the relationships in our lives, including the one with ourselves. Group is closed for the semester.

TUESDAYS  from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Where: Kappa House conference room

FRIDAYS from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm
Where: Bito Conservatory Room 106

Just show up! No appointment or paperwork needed.
